For reference, there are currently over 1300 PC mods, and over 800 Xbox One mods available. At the moment of writing, 5 mods have been created, including an ‘upgraded jetpack’ mod. While Fallout 4 players on PS4 will still have to wait for official mod support on their console, some mod creators are already creating modifications that are compatible with the PS4 version of Fallout 4. It’ll probably be a good month before it hits Xbox One, and another month for PlayStation 4. We want to get it up on PC and have it work.
Bethesda’s Todd Howard said as much back during an interview with Gameinformer back in February of this year.
While the Xbox One supports Fallout 4 mods as of today, mod support for Sony’s PS4 is expected to arrive next month. Whether it's a basic survival mod, combat tweaks, or changes to the user interface, players can customize the level of depth and immersion they'd like to get out. With only a handful of mods, gamers can transform Fallout 4's vanilla base game mechanics into something truly engaging.
