Just see the knight in the castle and he can give you a quest to kill X points of certain bandit factions. The Radiant Cross and Ebony Gauntlet also sound good, but I didn't get to them last game.Īctually, you can get some Knighthood troops early by doing the bounty hunting quest for an order.

The former can be found in taverns, and the latter start in Poinsbruk. I also liked the Barclay Sappers and the Knights of the Raven Spear. I just like the look of their armor, but unfortunately they aren't recruitable until you found a chapter in your own fief.

My favorite units are probably the silvermist units. I found the D'shar raiders in the desert to be pretty good for grinding renown. Though you might want to disband some of those units anyways since smaller parties get more renown. Yeah, the nature of PoP makes it much harder to rely on importing characters since that also scales most enemies to your level. Or if you want to be safe you can save their civilians from bandits to build up a buffer of relation points. If you go negative but aren't at war, you can pay off some of their lords to get back in their good graces. If they're mostly weak units like armsmen or mystmountain raiders then having a strong core of knighthood units should help a lot.įinally, don't worry too much about angering factions. If there's a lord then its very likely to sally out of the gates where they can use their numbers to beat you.įor large field armies, check their composition. The two things to look for are making sure your medic isn't hurt and avoiding cities with lords. I was able to take cities of about 800 defenders with only around 200 troops. Then start a new seige and take out some more.

Then when you run out of arrows, retreat or get knocked out to leave the battle. I would use an archer character and an army with strong ranged power to take out a chunk of their defenders. If you have people with high medical skills and good engineering you might be able to take a city by using attrition.
